Periop Leader Week FAQs

Today’s perioperative challenges span clinical, operational, and financial functions—and no leader should face them alone. Periop Leader Week is the only event that unites the full surgical leadership ecosystem—from the largest health systems and hospitals to the smallest independent ambulatory surgery centers—to give you the tools, answers, and allies you need. Together, we strengthen performance, elevate care, and move perioperative leadership forward.

What is Periop Leader Week?

Periop Leader Week is the evolution of the OR Manager Conference and OR Business Management Summit into one unified, expanded event. It brings together clinical, operational, and business leaders across perioperative services for a full week of education, networking, and solutions focused on today’s most pressing challenges.

Why were OR Manager Conference and OR Business Management Summit rebranded?

The rebrand reflects how perioperative leadership has evolved. Today’s challenges—staffing, efficiency, safety, and financial sustainability—require collaboration across roles and settings. Periop Leader Week better represents the breadth of leaders involved in perioperative care and the value of learning together, while preserving the depth and credibility of trusted legacy events.

Is this a completely new event?

No. Periop Leader Week builds on the strong foundation of both legacy events. The trusted education, expert faculty, and peer-driven insights attendees expect remain—now enhanced with more intentional integration, broader perspectives, and expanded opportunities to connect.

What does this mean for attendees?

Attendees gain:

  • More choice and flexibility with multiple tracks tailored to specific roles and settings
  • Broader perspectives by learning alongside peers from OR operations, business management, ASCs, SPD, PACU, and emerging leaders
  • Actionable tools and answers they can take back to their teams immediately
  • A larger, more diverse peer network to share ideas and solve challenges together

All with the same focus on practical, real-world solutions that make our events valuable.

Will my favorite OR Manager or OR Business Management content still be there?

Yes. Periop Leader Week includes dedicated educational paths that carry forward the core content attendees rely on—OR operations, leadership, staffing, compliance, utilization, financial performance, and more—while also offering optional cross-track sessions for expanded learning.

Who should attend Periop Leader Week?

Periop Leader Week is designed for all leaders involved in perioperative services, including but not limited to:

  • OR Directors, Managers, and Educators
  • Surgical Services and Business Managers
  • ASC Clinical and Administrative Leaders
  • Finance, Supply Chain, and Informatics Professionals
  • SPD and PACU Leaders
  • New and emerging perioperative leaders

It is the only event that intentionally unites these leaders in one place.

Is the brand new, or is the mission the same?

The mission is the same—to support perioperative leaders with practical tools, credible education, and meaningful connections—but the brand is clearer and more inclusive. Periop Leader Week reflects the reality of perioperative leadership today and where it’s headed.

What is the core promise of Periop Leader Week?

Tools, answers, and allies—for every perioperative leader. Periop Leader Week exists to ensure no leader is solving today’s challenges alone.

The event will take place at Savannah Convention Center in Savannah, GA, Sunday, October 4 through Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
